House of Dance Teaching Staff...

Savana Allen is a AHOD trained dancer, where she studied all genres of dance and was an assistant teacher during her high school years. Ms. Savana is in her 9th year as a AHOD Faculty member and has taught Tap/Ballet Combo classes, Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Technique. In addition, she assists with helping to train the House of Dance All Star Competition Team. Savana holds a B.F.A. in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also spent four years on the Spartan G’s Dance Team. In addition to teaching at AHOD in the evenings, Ms. Savana is a full time Dance Teacher at a local Elementary School. She is happily married to her best friend Zachary. They are dog parents to a German Shepard named Zeus and have a precious human baby girl, arriving in September! Savana loves to teach and cannot wait to start this dance year with all of my sweet dance kiddos!
Sandra Bays is in her third year teaching acro at AHOD. She was the head cheerleading coach at Elon University for over 17 years. As an alum of the Elon Cheer program, she was a three year captain, two time MVP, and a four year coed varsity team member. Her thirty plus years of cheerleading and dance experience ranges from competition, choreography, judging, and coaching. She developed the youth cheer program at Elon University for the faculty and staff's children in 2010. She has coached at all age levels varying from elementary through graduate school age. In addition to Sandra's extensive experience in cheer and dance, she has been a teacher for 14 years with the Alamance Burlington School System.
Hannah Burnett is a sophomore at Elon University pursuing a BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography. As a resident of Beverly, MA, Hannah commuted to New Hampshire for 15 years to complete dance training in various genres. Additionally, she has had experience competing in dance competitions, as well as performing at local and national events. To further her dance education, she has attended many workshops/conventions and master classes. Hannah has been a teacher and choreographer for young children’s classes which included a range of dance styles and is looking forward to teaching tap this year. She hopes to inspire and share her love of dance with her students while helping them grow and find themselves as dancers.
Morgan Coggins began dancing at AHOD in 2004 and has been teaching and coaching clogging for 3 years. She competed with our House of Sound Clogging Team throughout high school and now has the honor of being their coach. She continues to dance with the Pack Clogging Team at NC State University while majoring in Biology and Minoring in Animal Science. Her plan is to attend Vet School after graduating since animals are her passion. Morgan is blessed that dance has been an integral part of her life. She loves working with young dancers and introducing them into the amazing world of clogging.
Destiny Haith is a AHOD alumni who began her dance training at the studio in 2013. Destiny participated on her middle and high school dance teams. She competed with the House of Dance All Stars for 7 years, where she was part of the 1st place National Team! She has taken classes from instructors from all over the country, and is excited to be a part of your kids dance experience this year. Destiny is a second year teacher at AHOD and she is blessed to continue the journey with her dance family. She loves dance and can't wait to share her talents with students.
Lindsay Hrabosky has been teaching at Amber's House of Dance for 7 years. AHOD has always been Lindsay's dance family. She began attending classes at the studio in 2007 when she was in 5th grade. Lindsay not only teaches classes, she is the assistant coach of the All Star Competition Team. She was a member of the All Stars for 7 years, and served as a teaching assistant in her high school years. Lindsay received a Bachelor's degree in both Elementary and Special Education at UNCG while also performing with the Sparten G's Dance Team. Along with working at AHOD, she works as a third grade teacher at a local elementary school. She and her husband love to travel and hangout with their families. She is excited to meet some new faces, and foster a love of dance to her students and having yet another marvelous year at the best studio in Alamance County!
Born and raised in Elon, NC, Katie Murray started dancing her dance training at Amber’s House of Dance when she was in the second grade. Over the years as her passion for dance grew, she participated on her middle and high school dance teams, as well as Amber’s House of Dance All Stars competition team. After graduating high school, Katie went to further her education at Appalachian State University, where she participated on and was the Co-Captain of the university’s dance team. Alongside Dance Team, she participated in Momentum Dance Club, Appalachian Dance Ensemble, and assisted coaching the “Mini Mountaineers” with a local dance studio in Boone, NC. Katie interned with Inside Dance Magazine in 2017, where she curated daily “News & Features” content for the website, and published a two-page spread in their July issue. She graduated Cum Laude from ASU in 2019 with a B.S. in Communication Studies, and minored in Dance. This will be Katie’s third year back as AHOD staff. She teaches various styles- jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, technique, and more!
Kenzie Newton is a rising Senior at NC State majoring in Statistics. She has been in love with dance since she started dancing as a little girl 17 years ago. Kenzie competed with the House of Dance All Star Team and later on the Dance Team at NC State. Along with recently joining the AHOD staff, she has also been given the amazing opportunity to coach the Turrentine Middle School's Dance Team. Being able to teach and share her passion for dance with young dancers is something Kenzie is extremely grateful for, and she could not be more excited for this year!
Kayla Spalding is a third-year student at Elon University this fall. She is working to complete her B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography and her B.A. in History. During her time at Elon University thus far, she has performed in Dancing in the Landscape (2019), Rites of Seasons Spring Dance Concert (2020),Fall Dance Concert (2020), Redemption for Our Skin Black History Month Concert (2021), and Spring Dance Concert (2021). Kayla is so grateful for her experiences with the Elon dance program and looks forward to working with the wonderful students of Amber’s House of Dance this year!!
Christina Westbrooks was born and raised in Alamance County, where she started cheering at 18 months old. She was a member of her middle and high school cheer teams as well as competitng with the award winning Carolina Elite All Stars for 5 years. She is an Elon University cheerleader and plans to become a Physical Therapist after graduation. Christina enjoys working out and water sports. She is super excited to work with the AHOD kids!
